The EU’s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) went into effect on 25 May 2018, superseding the earlier Personal Data Act (PDA). Parties and responsibility for handling of your personal data
Transport Analysis is a national public authority for transport policy with organisation number 202100–6305. Transport Analysis provides a knowledge base for decision-makers in the transportation field, and a great deal of our work is done at the behest of the government and on the basis of our overall transport policy objective, i.e., a socioeconomically efficient and long-term sustainable transport supply.

How we handle personal data concerning employees and contractors
As an employer, Transport Analysis can lawfully process personal data concerning its employees and contractors to the extent necessary in order to fulfil the employment or contract agreement.
How we handle personal data concerning job applicants
The personal data will be used solely within the agency for recruiting purposes. The data are accessible only by those engaged in recruitment. The personal data of the hiree will be saved.

You may directly or indirectly provide information about yourself whenever you contact us by telephone or e-mail. This may include personal and contact information such as your name, date of birth, e-mail address, telephone number, or billing/delivery address.

We may collect the following data when you visit our website (www.trafa.se) to sign up for an event or subscribe to our newsletter:
- If you sign up for an event via our website, we require your contact information and organisation information, name, billing address, e-mail address, and telephone number.
- If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your name and e-mail address.
- If you sign up for access to our press releases at MyNewsdesk, we collect your name and e-mail address.
Our website also collects so-called cookies to improve its functionality and measure statistics. Information about cookies and how we manage them is available on our website at www.trafa.se/cookies.
What do we do with your data?
All data are used to provide, perform, and improve various services. Transport Analysis handles the following categories of personal data for the purposes based on the stated legal grounds.

With whom do we share personal data?
When using certain programs or program functions, Transport Analysis may share personal data with our subcontractors, both within and outside the EU/EEA. A list of the recipients of and sites for processing personal data is provided below in Appendix 1.
Our suppliers are subject to obligations regarding the handling of personal data that correspond to the obligations you have agreed to with us, and are set out in personal data processing agreements.
Under the principle of public access, public documents may be released to journalists and individuals who request access to such documents. Personal data may also be disclosed to our contractual partners.
How long will we save your personal data?
We will save your personal data for as long as a relationship exists between us, or for as long as it is necessary in order to achieve the purposes delineated here.
If you sign up for an event, your data may be saved for two years so that we can periodically notify you of upcoming events that may be of interest.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, your data will be saved for as long as the subscription remains active and is not cancelled by you as a subscriber. The same applies if you sign up for press releases.
What rights do you have?
You have many rights with which you should be familiar. You have the right, at no cost and once per year, assuming you have legitimate grounds, to request an extract from the register stating what data have been registered concerning you. You have the right to have your data corrected if they are erroneous, incomplete, or misleading, as well as the right to restrict the use of your personal data until they have been amended. You have the right to be “forgotten”, although deletion of personal data cannot take place if the data are required to fulfil a contract, or if Swedish or European law or the decision of a court or government agency states otherwise, or if it is based on a balancing of interests.
You also have the right to appeal the handling of your personal data to the Swedish Data Protection Authority.
